Vehicle and Journey Cost Calculator Rules
1. Purpose of the tools
Fav Driver offers tools to understand vehicle expenses and create cost information about journey experiences. The personal expense total screen, vehicle profile expense settings and recorded journey cost screen are different functions. Not every tool is enabled in every version.
Manually entered figures on the personal expense total screen are added in that screen's temporary memory. Fuel/energy, wear, maintenance and rental parameters saved in a vehicle profile are stored with the account and may be visible to people authorised to view that vehicle profile. Do not assume all expense data stays exclusively on your device.
2. Calculation and sharing
The recorded journey cost screen may use available distance and elapsed time, vehicle parameters and manually entered bridge, highway, parking and other expenses. Distance costs multiply distance by unit expense; a daily rental contribution is apportioned to the time used. Daily rental is not rounded up to a full day. Units and parameters in older records are not retrospectively changed by new settings.
Example per-person shares may be displayed by dividing the result by a selected number of people. Rounding can create small differences. Captured vehicle expense parameters may be sent with a journey record/message to its recipients. Temporary edits in the journey cost screen do not automatically update vehicle settings or send a new message.
GPS, maps, incomplete recordings, time and input errors can affect the result. The platform does not certify that an expense occurred or that the inputs are accurate. Avoid duplicate expenses and follow the screen's limits for combining rental with maintenance/wear.
3. Limits on use
Enter genuine, supportable expenses. Do not use the calculator to impose a fare, create a commercial earnings tariff, disguise unlicensed transport as expenses or replace official measurements. A result alone creates neither someone else's payment obligation nor their consent to pay. Accepting an invitation does not accept the displayed cost.
Sharing expenses does not exempt an activity from permit, licence, insurance or tax requirements. The tool cannot replace a mandatory official tariff or measurement. A rental expense item does not create a rental contract.
4. Rights and reports
You are responsible for lawful inputs and sharing to the extent of your own conduct. Fav Driver does not completely exclude responsibility for its software by referring to user inputs.
